This new Trane #S9V2 high efficiency furnace replaced an aging unit that was noisy and not very efficient (in the range of 70% efficiency).
The new Trane furnace installed by Besco Air is rated at 96% efficiency which gave our customer a savings on her heating bill of over 30%.
In addition to the energy savings (and rebate from Peoples gas), this furnace is MUCH quieter than the unit we replaced. The Trane S9V2 series furnace is rated one of the quietest furnaces available on the market today.
This Trane furnace utilizes a two stage heating system that allow the furnace to run at two different heating levels.
The two-stage gas valve is designed to operate on ‘low’ stage as often as possible, meaning it will operate more quietly and produce a more even distribution of temperature in the home, reducing hot and cold spots.
The variable speed blower motor is not only saving our customer money on her electric bill (even while running their air conditioning in the summer months), it is a very quiet motor which has given our customer exactly what she wanted when discussing her “wish list” with us. She wanted high efficiency, improved comfort and a quiet system.
